Tzivos Hashem Traveling Workshops
These workshops are a series of programs that bring our colorful heritage to life through an array of innovative and interactive projects. By way of this exciting mix of activities children learn the importance of Mitzvot and experience Jewish life in an entertaining and simulating environment.
Included in Traveling Workshops are Holiday and Mitvah series.
Holiday Series: Shofar Factory, Lulav & Etrog Workshop, Menorah Workshop, Olive Press, Matza Bakery
Mitzvah Series: Havdallah Factory, Tzitzit Workshop, Torah/Mezuzah Factory.
Holiday Programming
Jewish holidays come to life with a dazzling array of events for young and old. Chabad's holiday programs are geared to provide a fun and meaningful celebration of all our Jewish Holidays.
Programming includes:
Rosh Hashana Dinner (always a full house) a terrific way to start the new year with community camaraderie, inspirational discussions and of course great food.
Pizza in the Hut a Sukkot event featuring delicious pizza live music and great company
Chanukah Wonderland at the Skate Station, attracting hundreds of people annually, this program really covers all the bases: Roller Skate to Jewish music, Make your own Chanukah Menora and beeswax candles, participate in the Olive Oil Factory, great kosher food and much, much more!
Menora Car Parade bringing Chanukah to the streets! Dozens of cars with Chanukah flags parade with police escort to our yearly . . .
Chanukah at the Landing a fun filled family event at Jacksonville's popular Landing on the S. Johns River, with giant Menorah Lighting, Children's Magic Show, Grand Raffle and who can forget - Hot Latkes.
Purimania costumes galore as the Megilah is read followed by a refreshing break-fast.
Grand Purim Celebration one of Chabad's annual landmark events as hundreds join to celebrate this joyous holiday with a full course holiday feast and first class entertainment having featured the likes of Ron Eliran, RebbeSoul, Sandy Shmuely, Klezmania, Jo Amar, and DJ JB the Shabbos Goy.
Passover Seder what better way is there to celebrate this family oriented holiday than with you - our extended family!
Lag B'Omer Picnic and Outing inviting the entire community to celebrate with a grand BBQ, carnival attractions for children, Pony Rides, Petting Zoo, and Lag B'Omer Fire.
Shavuot Learn-a-Thon coffee is on tap as we pull off a Shavuot all-nighter delving into a variety of stimulating Jewish subjects.
Shavuot Dairy Dazzle follows the reading of the Ten Commandments and features the traditional dairy meal with cheesecakes, zitis and more blintzes than you can count.
